This is a magic lantern that I created as part of a night in/night out project. I chose a movie night in which is why I created the lantern that produces pictures onto a wall.

This is the process of creating the magic lantern. As you can see this is how it started and where it led me before I painted it using acrylic paint. I wanted to consider sustainability so everything I used was recyclable.

This is a large painting i created as part of the childhood project. I used a number of materials including ink, watercolour, acrylic paint and charcoal. It is unfinished and I hope to go back into it.

This is an illustrated development page of childhood memories that I created during the process of the large painting. I used an ink pen and took reference from photographs and memory.

These are experimental monotype prints representing photographs of my family.

They are woodcut prints from one of last years projects, which I printed on Japanese tissue paper and normal printing paper. I like the different effects it gives.

This is a quick observational drawing of a skull using compressed charcoal and pencil.

This a perspective study using acrylic paint, pencil, pen, chalk and charcoal. I used a shoe box and placed random objects inside. I decided to try and pick difficult shapes to challenge myself.

These are observational drawings of seed heads. The reason I drew these was as a starting point to create layered stitch pieces. I used simple pen and pencil to create the drawing and I changed the angle of the seed head for each drawing.

These are the progression of the seed head drawings. These are layered stitch pieces using a variety of materials. I decided to use neutral colours as it went with the aesthetic of seed heads.

This canvas piece was part of my body positive project. This was personal to me as I wanted to be happy in my own skin and appreciate the body I was born into. I used yellow, black and pink embroidery thread. 20×20 cm canvas.

This is also part of my body positivity project which is inspired by picasso. I wanted to show that your face is what makes you unique and that nobody has the same face.

This is an oil pastel piece which is my version of the painting by Paul Cezanne. This was my first time using oil pastels and I found them very easy to use.

These are still life studies of a kiwi and a cactus. I used water colour and an ink pen to create these. I used watercolours because I knew it would give me the right texture.

These two illustration pieces were part of my lockdown project. These are things that either brought me happiness or things that kept me or other people occupied. I asked other people what they were doing to keep themselves occupied. This is a starting point to a graphics project. Possibly to turn into material for tea towels etc.

Some additonal images of my lockdown project. For each of them I used ink and watercolour.

This is a piece that was a part for the timeline project where I chose to create pieces inspired by graffiti.

These were some sketchbook studies that I created as part of the timeline project. The artist that inspired me for these was Victor Ash.

This is a pop up book which was part of a series of books where I trailed different ways to create pop up books. This one was created by using A4 printing paper and watercolours.

This is an observation piece that is the view outside my bedroom window. It’s only a section. I used watercolour and and ink pen. I used the ink pen to create the texture on the houses.
