Interviewing an upcoming contemporary artist.

Today I interviewed a fellow student in my class. Her name is Adele Roberts. I asked her some questions about herself and what she enjoys within the art industry. You can see her blog here.

When she was little, art became an interest to her through her Auntie. It was when she was 9 that she found her love for fashion by going to carnivals and dressing up. Art is the only thing she has interest in and it’s what she wants to do in the future. She’s very passionate about her work. Most of her work is based around fashion or textiles.

Her preferred medium is fashion and textiles.

David Hockney and Vivienne Westwood are her favourite artists .They’re her favourite because they have a certain style that nobody else can do, they’re unique. In her sketchbook she enjoys creating clothing designs and experimenting with materials. However Vivienne Westwood inspires her the most because of her style and how she inspired the punk rock style.

Sometimes she has her days where she’s not confident within her work but most of the time she is. If she’s in a bad or hyper mood she struggles with motivation and finds it hart to concentrate.

She’s hoping to go to the Manchester Met University. It leads to what she wants to do with her life. She wants to pursue fashion and hopefully in the next ten years she wants to be working in the fashion industry.

She has an instagram dedicated to her work.
